Vermilion Original Framed Artwork

Artwork Details

Vermilion – I am always drawn to Vermilion - for its unique name and vivid red-orange hue. The name Vermilion derives from the Latin vermiculus which translates to “a little worm,” which is a cochineal insect from which crimson dyes were obtained. My second source of inspiration was the magenta and pinks of these cosmos growing in my garden that were the perfect pair with a Vermilion background.

Acrylic on watercolour paper, professional contemporary frame. Framed dimensions 420x300mm.

Avoid using glass cleaners that contain ammonia or alcohol, as this can damage the artwork.
