From The Jungle To The Sea Artwork Details

An extension of my practice building vessels and sculptures from cardcrete, From the Jungle to the Sea is a cross between 3D sculpture and 2D painting. The vessel shape inspired by my 3D vessels has been sculpted from cardcrete, a material made with 100% recycled cardboard made from scratch. Painted in a decorative pattern inspired by Grecian pottery, exotic animals and jungle-esque leaf designs.

The work, being sculptural, has a textural surface which is enhanced with the application of matte paints which give the piece a velvety finish.
