Happy Dance Artwork Details

An extension of my practice building vessels and sculptures from cardcrete, Happy Dance is a cross between 3D sculpture and 2D painting. The fun Matisse inspired shape in the middle has been sculpted from cardcrete, a material made with 100% recycled cardboard made from scratch.

The work, being sculptural, has a textural surface which is enhanced with the application of matte paints which give the piece a velvety finish.
