Shorter & Sons was a prominent English pottery company with a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Initially producing traditional majolica ware, they later expanded their range to include a variety of decorative and functional ceramics. Shorter & Sons played a significant role in shaping the English pottery industry before its eventual acquisition by Crown Devon in the 1960s. Although its production ceased in the mid-20th century, Shorter & Sons' legacy lives on through its collectible pieces, admired for their artistic merit and historical significance.
