This print is a professional reproduction of the original painting My Sister, My Friend.

There is a lot of love and meaning behind this artwork, and it's actually hard to put it into words! But if you have a sister who is your soulmate, separated by distance but always in your heart, you will know what I mean. In Latin, Soror Mea, Amica Mea translates to My Sister, My Friend. These words are inscribed on my soul sister and myself. The motif I have painted is loosely based on the city skylines of each of our respective homes; Perth for me, and Saigon for her. The wave connecting the shapes represents the sea that separates us. Distance between loved ones is felt strongly during the pandemic, and that is what brought this piece to life - a little memento to remind us that no matter how far apart we are, we will always be together.

I have made the artwork a 'mirror' image, so that it may be displayed either way.

All prints are printed with archival quality inks that are rated to last well over 100 years as long as they are protected under UV rated glazing and are displayed out of direct sunlight.

Prints are limited edition and are a strict run of 200. Each print is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Penny. Prints are made to order and are shipped within 10 working days from receipt of order. Please take this into consideration when ordering your print.

Hemp paper - a lightly textured eco-friendly fine art paper created from sustainable hemp fibres. 290gsm, 60% hemp fibre, 40% cotton, acid free, white.

Hahnemühle Hemp uses one of the oldest and most diverse natural fibres in the world and is made of 60% hemp fibre. The FineArt inkjet paper’s base impresses with its bright white natural tone. The lightly textured surface gives the paper a pleasant, silky feel. Colours and details are brilliantly reproduced, the depth of the black truly stands out and contrasts are reproduced with stunning effect.
