Using a soft 2B pencil, generously shade over the back of the design, covering all the lines you want to transfer. Secure the edges with masking tape to prevent the paper from moving.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStep 4 — Burnish\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eUsing the back of a pencil, pen or another smooth, hard object, firmly rub over the lines of the design. This process is called burnishing: applying pressure and friction to transfer the graphite from the back of the paper onto the surface beneath.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStep 5 — Reveal your design\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCarefully lift a corner of the paper to check that the lines have transferred.
